A taste of things to come.... Christine Cullinan (Jordan) counts herself lucky to have had cooking lessons as a seven year old child. Now she is giving others the opportunity to learn to love and celebrate Irish cuisine at the Tasteworks Cookery School in Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow where she offers adults and children's cooking classes which run for one evening or morning per week over six weeks. Budding cooks can choose from a range of classes from bread and cakes to fish and shellfish. "It is not about learning how to be a chef - it's about people learning how to feed themselves and their families with enthusiasm instead of the drudge of 'oh god what's for dinner tonight?' or sticking a pre-packaged box of rubbish into a lunchbox" says Christine. And it's good fun too......

Sunday Press, August 28th, 1994. Review of cafe run by Christine (and Jim Jordan) in Clifden in 1994.

.....one of the most memorable lunches of the holiday was at the boat club in Clifden, way down along the beach road past the quay. Highly original soups, delicious made-to-order sandwiches on a variety of homemade breads with great desserts to follow - all rustled up in a tiny little kitchen in the corner of the clubhouse by Christine Cullinan....."We really enjoyed our lunches with you, thankyou!" - Maureen Cairnduff.

New children's and adult's cooking parties available - aged 10 upwards for children and no age limit for adults.....If you are at a loss as to what to do for a child's birthday party then why not bring a group their  friends join together for a cookery class where they make the special tea themselves - including of course the cake. It's fun for grown ups too! Just get a group of pals organised and I can tailor the class to incorporate any recipes or wishlists you require - the only limit is the sky. Maybe you have always had a hankering to learn how to make a particluar dish, perhaps a particular cuisine brings back memories which you would love to evoke. Just contact to enquire.
